खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं मानक प्राधिकरण (FSSAI) ने फूड सेफ्टी कनेक्ट नाम से मोबाइल एप लांच किया है। इस पर मिलावटखोरी की शिकायत दर्ज कराई जा सकती है। इन शिकायतों की निगरानी दिल्ली स्थित प्राधिकरण मुख्यालय से होगी और मामलों का त्वरित निस्तारण व कार्रवाई की जाएगी। साथ ही एप पर उपभोक्ताओं को और भी कई अधिकार दिए गए हैं।
यह एप गूगल प्ले-स्टोर पर बिल्कुल मुफ्त में उपलब्ध है। आधिकारिक मोबाइल एप की डायरेक्ट लिंक स्मार्ट फोन यूजर अपने मोबाइल पर इसे आसानी से डाउनलोड कर सकते हैं। शिकायत के लिए दो श्रेणियां बनाई गई हैं। इसके अंतर्गत पैक्ड फूड और खुले खाद्य पदार्थो की शिकायत दर्ज कराने की अलग-अलग व्यवस्था है। उत्पाद की फोटो भी अटैच करने की सुविधा दी गई है।
दूसरे चरण में मिल्क बूथ के अलावा मीट, रेस्टोरेंट, किराना व सब्जी की दुकानों की भी शिकायत की जा सकती है। एप के वेरिफाई लिक से दुकानदारों के लाइसेंस व उत्पाद की गुणवत्ता का सत्यापन करने की सुविधा दी गई है। इसे क्लिक कर एफएसएसएआइ द्वारा जारी किए गए लाइसेंस व पंजीयन नंबर की वैद्यता उपभोक्ता परख सकते हैं।
इसके अलावा केवीआर (नो योर राइट) लिंक पर उपभोक्ताओं के अधिकारों की विस्तृत जानकारी भी दी गई है। शुद्ध व स्वच्छ खानपान के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाने के लिए भी तमाम टिप्स एप पर दिए गए हैं। फूड सेफ्टी कनेक्ट एप पर की जाने वाली शिकायतें विभाग के अधिकृत पोर्टल पर स्वत: आ जाती हैं। इनको प्राथमिकता के तौर पर निस्तारित किया जाता है।
ABOUT FOOD SAFETY CONNECT APP
Food Safety Connect is a CONSUMER CENTRIC APP that offers a centralised platform to the Indian consumers to raise concerns related to food safety and hygiene.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS – Knowing your consumer rights will ensure that you get a fair deal when purchasing goods and services.
