VAN-MAHOTSAVA CELEBRATED AT ST. THERESA’S GIRLS’ SCHOOL

BHOPAL. Van Mahotsava was celebrated with great fanfare on 10.07.2017 here at St. Theresa’s Girls School. Dr. Raghvendra Sharma, Chairman, Chairman, M.P. Commission for Protection of Child Rights, (Bal Ayog), was the Chief Guest on the occasion.  Students highlighted the importance of trees and the need for afforestation through speeches and a colourful dance. They also prayed for conservation of nature on the occasion.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Raghvendra Sharma in his address, spoke about taking from nature only as per our need, and not our greed. He highlighted the usefulness and importance of trees through several anecdotes. He also stressed upon making an emotional connect with environment to save it. This is a lesson to be learnt in school.

He also distributed the Star Performer awards, award for academic excellence, 100% attendance and spell-bee awards for the session 2016-17. He then proceeded to plant a sapling in the school campus to mark the tree plantation drive undertaken by the school.
