Lockdown train ticket refund new rules
नई दिल्ली। रेलवे के रूल्स है यदि ट्रेन कैंसिल हो जाती है तो आपको 3 दिन/ 72 घंटे के भीतर रिफंड प्राप्त करना होता है। यदि आप अपने रिफंड की वसूली नहीं करते तो वह लैप्स हो जाता है परंतु लॉकडाउन के चलते इस नियम में परिवर्तन किया गया है। 3 दिन की जगह 3 महीना कर दिया गया है। लॉकडाउन के कारण यदि आपकी ट्रेन रद्द कर दी गई है तो आपको रिफंड लेने के लिए रेलवे स्टेशन जाने की जरूरत नहीं है। लॉक डाउन खत्म होने के बाद आप आराम से अपना रिफंड प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।
Train Cancelled by Railway for Journey period 21 March – 21 June 2020
Refund across counter can be taken on submission of ticket upto 3 (three) months from date of journey. (Instead of extant rule of 3 days/ 72 hours excluding day of journey)
Train NOT cancelled. Passenger does NOT want to perform journey.
TDR (Tickets Deposit Receipt) can be filed within 03 months from date of journey at the station. (Instead of extant rule of 3 days)
TDR can be submitted to CCO (Chief claims officer)/ CCM (Chief commercial manager), Refund / Claims office for getting the refund with 60 days of filing of TDR subject to verification from Train chart. (Instead of extant rule of 10 days)
For passengers who want cancel ticket through 139 can get refund across the counter within 03 months from date of journey. (Instead of extant rule of upto scheduled departure of the train.)
Indian Railways has advised passengers to avoid non essential travel and sudden crowding of trains or the refund counters which will only raise possibility of spread of the Corona virus.
