Bhopal. Teachers’ Day was celebrated at the National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh (NID MP) toady in the gracious presence of Shri B Vijay Datta, Commissioner, Bhopal Municipal Corporation as the Chief Guest for the occasion.
Shri Datta, a young and dynamic bureaucrat , shared his life experiences and success mantras with the Students and faculty members. He exhorted the students toread as much as possible and learn by field experiences . He also laid emphasis on the fact that the students must develop their forte and excel in their field of interest rather than venturing into a field which they are not comfortable with.
He offered to extend the facility of smart bike and cycle sharing to the students on subsidized rates so that the students are motivated to explore the city and contribute in beautification of the City through their ideas on design. He apprised that “Youth Festival” will be celebrated in the city shortly, in which the students of NID MP are encouraged to participate. Further, he also sought active participation by the NID, MP fraternity in the “World Clean Up Day” scheduled to be organised on September 21, 2019.
The Commissioner, participated in the Green Initiative of the Institute by planting a tree. Finally, he lauded the efforts of the faculty members for their valuable contributions in shaping the young minds, which shall ultimately add to the national development. A memento was presented by Prof. Dhiraj Kumar, Director NID MP to Shri Datta on this occasion.
